Materials and sustainability

Recycled at the Core. Refined on the Surface.

Our production partner states that its cardboard solutions use 100% recycled raw materials. Here is what that means for the boards you buy.

Substrate vs. Surface

A finished cake board has two parts, and material claims apply to them differently.

The paperboard substrate

The solid paperboard core is produced from 100% recycled raw materials where confirmed for the SKU. This is the structural body of the board.

The decorative surface

Metallized films, coatings, laminates, and other finish components vary by SKU. These are not covered by the recycled-substrate statement unless separately verified.

How We Talk About It

We keep material claims specific and documented.

What we say

Made with 100% recycled paperboard, where confirmed for the SKU.

What we do not say

We do not claim the entire finished board is 100% recycled, compostable, or plastic-free.

Certifications

We do not reference certifications that are not on file.

Documentation

Current material documentation is available by SKU on request.

Material Questions

Is the finished board recyclable?

Are the boards food-grade?

Our production partner describes its cake boards as food-grade for cakes, pastries, desserts, and confectionery. Request current documentation for your program.
